FAO Uzbekistan announces a contest on beekeeping industry
FAO jointly with the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development announce a contest for the best coverage of the beekeeping industry in Uzbekistan.
The competition is held in the following categories:
Best Television Report
Best article in the media (online and print)
Best children's drawing
The works should be devoted to beekeeping, bees, beekeepers, the contribution of the beekeeping industry to the national economy, the priority topic is the pollination of agricultural plants by bees for yields increase.
The jury of the competition will select the three best works in each category. The prize for the first place is a laptop, the second is a tablet, and the third is a smartphone. The award ceremony will be timed to coincide with the Honey Festival, which will be held in Tashkent on December 1-10, 2020.
The contest is open to the participation of residents of Uzbekistan with any experience from beginners to professionals, photographers and journalists. Children up to 18 year can participate in the "Best Children's Drawing" category.
Only the work from a year 2020 can participate in the contest. Each work must be accompanied by a brief description and indication of the place and date of performance. For the category of "Best Television Reporting" - the date and place of airing (if possible, a link for web); for the category "Best article in the media" – a newspaper clipping (or a web link) should be submitted. Deadline for applications is November 20, 2020.
Photos and drawings are accepted by e-mail at the following address: FAO-UZ@fao.org with a subject BEE 2020 photo contest.
JPG format with file size: up to 5 Mb is allowed. If your photo is selected, you will be asked to send a high-resolution photo for printing, and the drawing in the original.
Television reports are accepted on any media, articles in the print media in the original form at the Association of Beekeepers of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, st. A. Navoi, 40, tel. 71 202 11 24) or at the regional association of beekeepers.
