Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs gave lecture at Westminster International University in Tashkent
Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs a world-renowned economics professor, bestselling author, innovative educator, global leader and Advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals participated in an interactive dialogue with students, academic staff and representatives of international organizations at Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT.)
In response to questions, he outlined four priorities for public and private investment in all countries: human capital, infrastructure, intellectual property, and mainstream business. He also highlighted importance of sustainable development goals as they are the only set of goals to have around sustainable development for this generation.
Jeffrey D. Sachs is a University Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, where he directed the Earth Institute from 2002 until 2016. He is also Director of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
